So who are these two people that are going to be my parents?
Mom just turned 29, is a third grade teacher who was born in the Philippines but grew up in Australia. She came to the US with her parents when she was 17, went to school, and eventually met Dad while she was working as an admin while waiting to get into the Dallas ISD. Here she is at their apartment they lived in when they were first married.
Dad is 32, and works as a writer/producer at a software company making video games. He was born in England to an English mother and an Irish father, and came to the US with his parents when he was 3. Hmmm - Mom is from the Philippines and Dad is from the UK - I guess that means that I will be a first-generation American!
